WUSM 2012 Tailgate Concert Series with Doctor E and the MS Voodoo Kings | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The second annual WUSM Tailgate Concert Series will continue at the Golden Eagle’s second home game of the season. Doctor E and the Mississippi Voodoo Kings will perform September 29 at 4 p.m. before the Golden Eagles play Louisville at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Doctor E and the Mississippi Voodoo Kings are based out of Hattiesburg. This funky blues band recently released their debut album, 'The Doctor Is In' on SouthCityRecords, available at T-Bone Records and iTunes. With a New York City edge, a bay-rat attitude, and the funk only a true Cajun band can provide, these boys know how to lay it down. This is definitely the place you want to be and the music you'll want to hear.
The tailgate concert series is a free event that is open to the public. It will be held on USM’s Hattiesburg campus at the Centennial Green located next to Danforth Chapel.
AAA Ambulance Service, The USM College of Arts and Letters, iTech at the University of Southern Mississippi, The U.S. Army, Stonewall’s Award Winning BBQ, Hattiesburg Coca-Cola, and The Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott, are sponsoring the WUSM Tailgate Concert Series.
WUSM can be heard anytime online at www.southernmissradio.com .
