Benefit for Brenda Moody McLendon, Feb. 9 | Events

The following is a message from the event coordinator:

Ms. Brenda Moody McLendon is a Melanoma Cancer patient.  Her physical condition has deteriorated with other complications as well; she is in Stage 4 Renal failure, Congestive Heart failure, and Diabetes.  She has undergone extensive rehabilitation and battled the cancer since 2010. 

Ms. McLendon’s medical bills are astronomical.  To magnify her already catastrophic problems, her Medicaid assistance along with her monthly social security check was cut off in July 2012.  The government did restore her SS and Medicaid in Jan. 2013, but in the six months without income or medical assistance her already numerous medical bills have more than tripled.

There will be a benefit, Feb. 9 in Downtown Brooklyn. 

There will be:

• an all-day Gospel Sing
• raffles
• A Benefit Motorcycle Ride (with weather permitting)
• Games for kids
• and many others
