WCU to host careers in health care symposium | Events

The following is a press release from William Carey University:

William Carey University will host a symposium for high school and community college students interested in health care careers on Feb. 20, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Kresge Room of Thomas Business Building. Representatives from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Pearl River Community College, Jones County Community College, The University of Southern Mississippi, WCU, and WCU College of Osteopathic Medicine will lead breakout sessions to present information about the programs they offer.

Representatives will discuss employment trends in health care and inside information about careers in medicine, nursing, mental health, and other allied health fields. They will also share helpful tips about obtaining financial aid and utilizing available resources offered at colleges and universities.
