The following is a press release from William Carey University:
William Carey University’s Brandy Cramer, a senior vocal performance major from Gulfport, won a competition with the Gulf Coast Chorus and Symphony. She won a large cash scholarship, as well as the opportunity to sing the mezzo soprano solos in a performance of Handel's “Messiah” with the Gulf Coast Chorus and Symphony on December 1 in Gulfport.
Cramer competed against other singers from all over the state for this opportunity and was selected to sing all four of the mezzo solos, including the famous “O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion.” Cramer is a student of Dr. Connie Roberts, professor of music at WCU.
