The following is a post from the Southern Pines Animal Shelter:

"Found this little doggie last night at the Texaco in front of Wesley. Very gentle, ran right up to us. The cashier said that she "appeared" when a family in a van drove up, then seemed to stay after they had left."

"Found this little guy in a panic on New Years Eve on the 200 Block of North 19th Ave in Hattiesburg. There was no collar. Message me if you know him."

“Lucky,” a case of animal cruelty with a happy ending

Tuesday afternoon, October 30, as cars flew by, a black head would pop up every now and then from the side of the road of the westbound lane of Highway 84 East. Lying a little over a foot from the edge of the pavement, in the median, was the results of the lowest of human behavior.

Dog missing from the Brooklyn/Dixie area

A Lab/German Shepherd mix, is missing from the Brooklyn/Dixie area. The dog, Minnie, went missing around 8 p.m. on Sept. 10. It was last seen off of JB Horne Rd. in Brooklyn.

Minnie has a pink collar with an address and phone number sewed onto it.

She knows her name and will respond to it. If anyone sees her they can call 601-310-2886 or 601-606-0300.

There is a cash reward.

"I found this little fella running down the middle of University in the rain, it is a miracle he wasn't killed. Need help finding his owners. I am leaving on Sat. for a week."

Owner finds lost dog thanks to WDAM community

Owner finds lost dog thanks to WDAM community

A Rock Hill  resident and the WDAM community has helped an owner find their lost dog.

Rock Hill resident, Pamela Davis, e-mailed WDAM about a lost dog and was made into a community story. Shortly after, Pamela contacted WDAM saying that owner had notified her and was on their way to pick up the dog.

"Thank you WDAM for sharing this post. The owner has contacted me and is on the way to pick him up now" said Davis.
