The following is a press release from William Carey University:
The William Carey University office of admissions will host Super Saturday for new students, both incoming freshmen and transfers, on July 14, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Students who have been approved for admission are invited to attend. Super Saturday gives students and their parents a glimpse into university life and offers information on admissions, financial aid, housing and student life.
After sign-in and a welcoming session in the Student Conference Center of Wilkes Hall, students can sign up for classes with their department advisors from 9:45 – 11:30 a.m. From 11 – 11:30 a.m., students will have an opportunity to sit in on classes to get a feel for the WCU classroom experience. The options are a class taught by Dr. Mike Madaris, assistant professor of business, and by Dr. Thomas Rauch, chair of the department and professor of biology. Dr. Madaris’ class, with a lecture titled “Do Unto Others Before They Do Unto You: Four Things the Bible Really Says About Money,” will meet in Thomas Business Building 102. Dr. Rauch’s class, with a lecture titled, “Systematics: Several Different Approaches,” will meet in Green Science Building 105.
Students will also have a chance to meet with persons in admissions, financial aid, and housing and participate in campus tours from 12:15 – 2 p.m. Lunch will be served in Wilkes Dining Hall from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
“The Office of Admissions looks forward to another great event,” said Brandon Dillon, assistant director of admission and student programs.
