Petal Primary School awarded $3,000 Youth Literacy grant | Schools
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded a Youth Literacy grant in the amount of $ 3,000 to Petal Primary School to fund an Early Intervention Multisensory Literacy Project.
“The Dollar General Literacy Foundation is pleased to support the literacy efforts of Petal Primary School,” said Rick Dreiling, Dollar General’s chairman and CEO. “The Youth Literacy grants are awarded annually at the start of the school year so that the funds are in place to have an impact on reading education and support.”
At Petal Primary School, the grant will be used to purchase Kindle Fires for the intervention lab and a school subscription to Big Universe, an award-winning ebook reading, writing and sharing platform for K-8 students and teachers.
